Red-eyed damselfly (Erythromma najas)

Description

The female has brownish-red eyes. It is completely black on the upper side and yellow on the underside.

Hunting type

The Red-eyed damselfly hunts from a perch.

 

Habitat

Its habitat is bodies of water with vegetation consisting of floating leaf plants such as water lilies, water lilies and similar plants. It prefers larger, open bodies of water where the vegetation is well sunlit.
